350+ miles later and we are home. We had a quick epic adventure (as always), met some INCREDIBLE people, and came home with some amazing treasures. More details to come, but for now I need to get some sleep because the first day of school is tomorrow 🎉🎉🎉 and I get to see "my" kids (all 70 of them) and get back into a semi-normal routine again.

A quick project tonight - a customer brought over a pair of jeans to be repaired and a shirt with a missing snap. I wasn't sure I could do anything with the shirt at first and then it was discovered that we had a big box full of snaps that came from an auction or estate sale. Surprisingly enough, there was a match 🎉. Then a quick patch job to make the jeans a bit less revealing 😁 and they're good to go!

I was recently contacted by a customer who had a different kind of request....

She had a person who was going to make her a tshirt quilt. This person had already cut most of the shirts, but instead of finishing it as promised, she returned them.

The customer contacted multiple quilters, who all refused to touch it since the shirts had already been cut - so she reached out to me. I told her I'd give it a shot...

It was a challenge - the cut shirts were crooked, sized wonky, and just....yeah. I'll leave it at that 😉.

But it's done!

Making some serious progress on a customer order - this one has definitely been a challenge from the start, but I'll explain all of that later when it's finished 😁. I should have the quilting done in a couple of hours if all goes well *knock on wood* and then it'll be time to bind!

I bought this kit (two of them, actually) about 20 years ago and finally decided to dig it out a few days ago. Since this is the start of my weekend, I decided that I was going to make something for myself for a change - something I don't do very often. Tomorrow, it's back to customer orders!
