Due to some health issues this spring, it’s been waaay too long since I felt good enough to do art. But I’m back to feeling and moving like a human and finally was able to finish up this baby started in February when I did momma. Painted as portraits of a good friend’s childhood horses, they were safely deliver home today. Looking forward to working on more pieces now that I’m back to normal!

Day one of a two-show weekend started WAAAY too early, but I drove in to the show hall for The Finger Lakes Spring Fling for a successful start. These horses were all painted by me. Competition was awesome, thanks to all the judges for their hard work today!

Cleaned up the studio horse room a bit today. We're doing a complete home makeover overhaul and this room NEEDED some clearing to make room for my fish tank that needs to get out of the living room in prep for new paint & floors in the next few weeks/months (the kitchen/dining room gets finished FIRST...so close as shown- floors need sealing and then cabinets, counters & appliances move back in. Hubby is doing it all himself; it's a learning experience in a good way). Exciting, exhilarating and chaotic all at once!

Rockinhorse Wllow- a Stablemate scale resin (I think from Sue Kern) that I’ve had hanging around for a long time. This was my companion piece for the February Appaloosa course I took. Painted 100% in acrylics.
