Never getting over this trip. 1000/10 no notes.

Now that I have your attention with these vacation pictures, it’s time to tell you about what’s coming up at airliemoon | a coastal lifestyle boutique, so please read on💙

If you’ve been here for a while, you know we celebrate our anniversary in a big way. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that it will be thirty two years since we opened our doors! Save The Date for our 32nd Anniversary Celebration. Kickoff will be Thursday November 5 from 5-7 and we’ll be celebrating all weekend.

That’s not all, coming up later in November we’ve got an author event/book signing coinciding with a book drive for Smart Start of New Hanover County followed by Indigo Friday, Small Business Saturday, and much more throughout the season. The calendar is packed, and there’s something for everyone.

Home sweet home. What a gift it is to walk into this beautiful little sun soaked shop after being away for a month. We had the most magical, wonderful trip, exploring exotic places on the other side of the world, but just like Dorothy said, there’s no place like home.

It is not lost on me how lucky I am to be able to travel, and to know that airliemoon | a coastal lifestyle boutique is well taken care of in my absence. The shop has never looked so beautiful, things ran perfectly and I came back to the best retail team in the universe. After thirty two years of doing this, I recognize what a gift it is to be surrounded by women who treat airliemoon | a coastal lifestyle boutique as their own, doing the hard work and making it fun.

What’s next? Glad you asked! We are preparing for the season ahead, kicking it all off early November with our 32nd Anniversary Celebration followed by some fun holiday events and promotions. Stay tuned for all the details, it’s going to be epic!

Quick take. I’ll share more, but still processing. This was truly the trip of a lifetime, and if you are someone who loves to travel, go ahead and put the Philippines on your list. I’ve never visited anywhere with such gracious and kind people, delicious food and the most gorgeous beaches I’ve ever seen.

Fall mood.

While we believe in an endless summer, there is no denying the season is changing. At airliemoon | a coastal lifestyle boutique, you won’t find pumpkins and such, but you will find a slow subtle shift into a new season. It’s time for woodsy fragrances, warmer colors, and cozy throws to wrap up in.

I’m still traveling, currently in Palawan until we head home next week. Hope you’ve enjoyed my stories, I always worry about over sharing, but let’s be honest, I have much more to share if you’re interested. Just let me know- do you want more, or shop content only?

It’s October…time for our Halloween Jellycat drop. These cuties won’t last long!

We’ve been in the Philippines for 8 days so far, and it’s incredible. I have so much to share, but I’ll start with what today looked like.

After a week of great surf, there was none today, so Robbie’s boat guy took us on an excursion. You walk down a road lined with surf shops, far different than the American sort, to jump on the boat. These vessels are so beautiful to me, absolute works of art. Jose, our captain, currently has another being built by hand and that will be for his oldest son.

The water is as clear as any I’ve ever seen, and the many islands are postcard perfect. We swam, snorkeled and enjoyed the ocean’s healing properties.

After that, we walked a short way to the local market, a must for me wherever I go. Then a tuk tuk back to our villa for a relaxing afternoon. We even had a massage right by the sea, quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. You know that piped in music you have in a massage? Ours was real life nature: water, birds, breeze and on occasional distant rumble of thunder.

After a swim in the pool, we headed back to town. Instead of a tuk tuk, this time on what they call a trike, a motorbike with a frame around it to hold four seats for passengers. A feat of engineering and how many families get around. Although, it’s not uncommon to see a family of four on one motorbike, the preferred method of transportation here.

We went to an Oceanside bar and had a b**r, played some cards and then walked to dinner. One of the most surprising things has been the sheer quantity and quality of restaurants. I can’t get over how good the food is, from the street vendors to the higher end restaurants, bakeries and cafes. The culinary scene is 5⭐️.

Back to the villa, and said goodbye to one of the sweet staff who is leaving today for new opportunities and the wish to work abroad.

One perfect day, in an amazing place with the kindest, most wonderful people we’ve met along the way. Traveling fills my soul and heart.
