As we step into a new year, I’ve been reflecting on where this business (The Coral Anchor) has been and where it’s headed next. For the past 13 years, your support has meant everything to me—every order, message, and kind word has helped shape not only this brand, but my journey as a small business owner.
Letting go is rarely easy. It comes with grief, nostalgia, and a whole lot of “but what if..?” And what thoughts steps in when we let all of that go? For me, it hasn’t been a lightning bolt of clarity. It’s been a lot of self-doubt actually! Questioning my worth, my future and my role as a small business owner in my community.
The answer to “what’s next” hasn’t quite hit me with a loud clarity yet. It lives in a quieter place of nervous contemplation; a place of uncertainty about what the future brings and a willingness to allow myself to still sit there anyway.
Change can be hard—for all of us—but I believe it’s also where growth and joy live. This shift is allowing me to find more time for the things that bring me pure joy in life, and that happiness is deeply influencing my creative process. I’m endlessly grateful for my husband, whose constant support gives me the freedom and encouragement to let my creativity flow. Having someone who believes in my vision, even as it evolves, is something I never take for granted.
My focus in the new year will be shifting more toward the sister company of The Coral Anchor… Cabana Cove Company, where I’m looking forward to pouring a lot of fresh energy, ideas, and creativity. New designs and products are coming, and they truly feel like a natural evolution of what I love creating most.
I also want to reassure you that I’ll still be doing local shows and keeping my booth space at Uptown Market stocked, so you’ll continue to see and shop my work in familiar places. (Custom Banner orders will still be offered with The Coral Anchor.) Thank you for standing by me over the last 13 years—I’m so excited to bring you all along into this next chapter.
Happy 2026 and let this be the year that you also do things that make your heart smile 🫶🏻💕
