Every room needs a hero piece, and sometimes the best inspiration is right outside the window.

The magnificent weeping cherry tree inspired this John-Richard chandelier, with its cascading branches of crystal.

The rest was about creating the mood. A once imposing fireplace softened with floor-to-ceiling stone, luxurious velvet drapery framing the windows, and plush wool carpet underfoot.

A little drama, a lot of warmth, and a room made for lingering around the table.

Swipe to see the before.

Coastal doesn't have to mean beachy.

With soaring ceilings and a generous footprint, this kitchen needed warmth, softness and a sense of balance. A rich navy island, natural woven textures, marble surfaces and oversized pendants bring the room into proportion.

The result is a fresh, sophisticated take on coastal living that feels right at home in Westport.

Almost didn’t enter this one. That would have been a mistake.
HDS Design Company’s Art Deco Bath is a finalist in the 2026 Connecticut IDAs by CTC&G.
Pretty damn happy about this. And it is, without a doubt, a gorgeous bathroom. Wish us luck!
