In the last two weeks, we've done something very special to both Kayla and I. Presented two families with memorial plaques for members of their families that have recently passed.

For those who don't know- I (Dan) have been working with hospice care since the end of October 2025. It is not something I ever saw myself getting into, to be honest. However, it was a job that showed up while I was very much in need of work. While it is not glamorous, I have grown to love it.

Since I started this role- which is delivering, setting up, and maintaining medical equipment for hospice patients, I have met many amazing people and heard many amazing life stories.

I have intentionally blocked the names from these pictures, but the two families that Kayla and I made these for have impacted me greatly over the time that I got to work with them. Both treated me like their own family while I was working with them; enough so that I needed to make something for them...something from the heart.

While their loved ones have passed, I wanted to make sure I gave them something that will keep their memory literally etched in stone.

This was not an attempt to gain more business- we didn't charge either family for these. In fact, neither family knew they were coming until Kayla and I personally delivered them. These were done simply to put some more love into a chaotic world and let these families know that they made a positive impact on someone that they only knew for a few months in one case, and a few days in the other!

This is the heart of StoneCloud Creations. Yes we want to sell items, but more importantly, we want to create things that touch peoples' hearts and make memories for years to come! 💙

We are proud to finally share our work for the Lago Family Farm and Southernmost Serama Club! 30 slate awards for an upcoming event towards the end of this month! We were asked while doing a vendor event a while back if we would be interested in making these, and of course we said, "yes"!

These were a blast to make, and as we always do (and always will), we worked through every step with our customer to ensure they were thrilled with the final product- from the material options, design drafts and final designs, to making sure they turned out perfectly before handing them over.

As a small business, we rely on the quality of our products and word of mouth to carry our reputation. As we continue to grow, we promise that each and every item we make will continue to have the same level of customer service and attention to detail that we both expect when we purchase handmade items.

What have we here? Two absolutely beautiful live edge Peruvian Walnut charcuterie boards! This is a beautifully figured, imported hard wood that was great to work with! One is roughly 9.25"x13.5"x0.875" and the other is roughly 7.5"x15"x0.875, both with a food safe mineral oil and bees wax finish (no stain). These are up for grabs at $75/each or both for $125, and we can ship them anywhere in the continental United States for an additional cost!

30 pieces of slate...coasters? Nope. Chicken show awards! Slate does make great coasters (which we also make), but also makes great award plaques! These beauties are for a show coming up in March! We were more than happy to say, "yes" when we were asked to make these 😁 We'll share the rest once they're completed!

Our latest noodle board, and another happy customer!

From our Etsy store- we've sold 12 custom noodle boards in the last 12 months. That is not including the probably 20+ we've sold on Facebook Marketplace. While this is a good number, we'd like to beat that for 2026!

While we are working to branch into other things (...like our beloved custom signs...), the noodle boards seem to have become somewhat of a staple for us! That being said, we would like to double the number this year, and sell 24 on Etsy!

We will also be getting some of our signs on the Etsy store! If you are interested, or know someone who might be, shoot us a message!

Work has been crazy for both Kayla and I, but we are definitely still every bit as committed to StoneCloud Creations as we were the day we started it! Our current project has been a few months in the making- slate award plaques for a chicken show coming up in March! Once those are completed we will be sure to get the pictures up!

Valentines Day is coming, yes! You know what else is only a few short months after that? National Teacher Appreciation Day- May 5th, 2026! We'll be rolling out some more cool things for this special day, but here's what we did this year this for our daughters' teachers as Christmas gifts; some "67" ornaments and magnets! As we get some things together, we'll get them posted with prices- because everyone should appreciate the teachers! It's a job that many of us know we couldn't handle ourselves, is all too often unappreciated, and is one of THE most important things a person can do. They're helping to raise up the future of the world, creating memories that our children will hold for a lifetime, and we should all be thankful for that and show them our appreciation! 🥰

We hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday season, whatever you celebrate...or if you don't celebrate anything!

We've had a very busy holiday season this year at StoneCloud Creations, and we are thankful for it!

Now it is time to look forward to 2026 and what we're going to be doing coming into the new year! We've got a good number of ideas, and we're going to make sure 2026 is a year of growth! As always, we love the support from you all, and we look forward to bringing a bunch of new things to the table very soon!

We've been a bit quiet lately, not because we haven't been busy....quite the opposite actually! Here is a little clip of the begining of today's project...a custom sign! A message from Dan at StoneCloud Creations:

Tonight, I wanted to share a little something. Something about why StoneCloud Creations is so important to me. It isn't for the money. Do we make money doing what we do? Sure. We keep our prices as reasonable as possible though- we aren't out to bankrupt people.

For me, this is so much more than a hobby or pastime. It is my passion. From a very young age I was building things...and in many cases, un-building things that I probably shouldn't have. Thankfully though, I have a father that (in a different way) also builds things. I also had a grandfather that was ALWAYS making something. Needless to say, I always had some sort of inspiration. Whether it was my dad trying to teach my brothers and I to weld in the garage when we were little, or my grandpa having me help build floats and decorations for the Lions Club parades or church events.

Those things stuck with me my entire life. There have been many hobbies I've tried and abandoned throughout the years, but the passion for creating, fixing things, or designing things has always been there.

Now I have a family of my own- a fiance' that I love and that has encouraged me in all my crazy ideas for the better part of 8 years now, and a daughter that I wouldn't trade for the world!

While I am primarily the one making posts on here and running the Etsy shop, Kayla is absolutely instrumental in keeping this thing running. She does essentially all of the design work, and all of the customer communication for our stuff. She has also organized all of the vendor events we've attended. Oh, and she does all the amazing epoxy items we have...and the vinyl...and she's done all of this while still working her demanding full time. For those who don't know, I was unemployed from the end of February of this year until just about two weeks ago; so I had plenty of time on my hands to do these things. She made the time after working a full day to help me keep things going. That is who we are though. We make things work, and we make things happen!
