Final reveal — “Guardians of the Garden”
from my new series, The Garden Within.

Created for Stratford Garden in Falls Church, Virginia.

This mural brings together feminine forms, botanical elements, abstract geometry, and protective eyes. The flowers represent growth, renewal, beauty, and balance, while the eyes symbolize protection, intuition, and good luck. The overlapping faces speak to the different people, conversations, and energies that come together in one space.

The gladiolus symbolizes strength, integrity, resilience, and growth.

A huge thank you to Arash, the entire Stratford Garden staff, and everyone who supported me during the process. Thank you for the trust, the hospitality, and for giving me the freedom to bring this wall to life.

From the first sketch to the final brushstroke — completely hand-painted.

YA VIENEN LLEGANDO 🇨🇺

This is the piece I chose to bring to MC Gallery for Ya Vienen Llegando.

A large-scale work from my original La Caridad series, approximately 3 × 5 ft.

La Virgen de la Caridad del Cobre has followed generations of Cubans through faith, distance, migration, memory and hope. In this series, I reinterpret that icon through my own visual language — bringing together portraiture, symbolism, geometry, Cuban references and the marks of my own journey.

For me, she is not only a religious image.
She represents home, protection, identity and everything we carry with us when we leave.

And perhaps that is why this painting feels particularly appropriate for an exhibition called “Ya Vienen Llegando.”

Proud to exhibit alongside this group of Cuban artists.

Absolutely — I’d make it feel more personal, artistic, and cinematic:

Mexico, you gave us a trip to remember. 🇲🇽✨

We celebrated Julie’s 40th surrounded by nature, incredible energy, and some of the most beautiful places in the Riviera Maya. From the raw architecture and magic of Azulik, to cenotes, jungle, ocean, and unforgettable days in Tulum and Akumal.

One of the most meaningful parts of the trip was leaving a piece of ourselves behind through the mural in Akumal — connecting art, community, nature, and the people who made the experience so special.

A birthday, an adventure, a mural, new friendships, and a lot of inspiration.

Mexico always gives you more than you expect. 🌴🎨🔥
