I started interior design school back in 2019, and I’m so grateful I made that career jump. Then shortly after Covid happened and that was wild.

I still remember calling our sweet friend Lesa Lesa Peers Design | Interior Designer when I was trying to figure out if I could actually do it. I don’t remember how long we talked, but I remember how she made me feel. She cheered me on, believed in me, and made something that felt scary feel possible! Everyone needs a Lesa in their life. 🫶🏼

At the time, I had no idea where that decision would take me. I just knew I loved homes, architecture and creating. Now I get to help people create homes that not only beautiful, but feel like them.

There have been a lot of late nights, learning curves, and moments of wondering if I was crazy for doing this but I’m so glad I did. I’m thankful for these opportunities , my clients and these incredible projects.

It’s so fun to design when your clients have the best taste and even better when the presentation is so well received!

Next up: reviewing and refining the electrical plans, sourcing lighting, followed by creating the furniture plan for each space. In short, lots of more fun things to do. 🤍

A little proof that the most hardworking spaces can still be beautiful!!

This laundry room started with little storage, but with full-height cabinetry, warm neutral finishes, unlacquered brass details 😍, tongue & groove, and a vintage-inspired light fixture, it became a room that I don’t want to leave. Plus the storage has more than tripled!

What is one of the easiest ways to make a neutral room feel layered and inviting? Mixing textures. Bouclé, linen, cotton, and woven fabrics create depth and warmth
without relying on bold colors. It’s subtle, but it’s what makes a space feel finished. Plus our client loved it.

My first trip to NYC did not disappoint. I loved every second of it. The energy, the history, the food, but most of all, the architecture. I couldn’t help but think about all the decisions, creativity, and craftsmanship that shaped the city into what it is. I found myself wishing I could be a fly on the wall as these buildings were imagined, designed, and brought to life.

I’m already dreaming about our next visit. There is still so much I want to see, and I can’t wait for our film to get developed.

Quality hardware is worth every penny. We can’t wait to watch this unlacquered brass develop a rich, lived-in patina over time. It will only get better with age. Stay tuned for the full reveal of this project. There’s only a few more finishing touches.

All the neutrals for our Haven Creek project.

We were very intentional on the size of furniture here due to the stairs and powder bath being right off the entry. We wanted it to feel warm and welcoming but ensure that it wouldn’t feel overcrowded. There’s not a window over here so we felt a large round mirror to reflect light was best instead of a large art piece. It keeps things feeling airy while still making a statement.
