Now that both homeowners have seen this beauty, I can share it with the rest of you!

When we first started this project, I had shown a rendering with a bench in this little eat-in nook. We search for different options before landing on the best one…. A custom bench to match the rest of the nook seating.

Different fabric options. Wood species selections. Stain mixing to color match. Design time to mimic the chairs. A lot went into this bench.

Eric, a local woodworker, built the base / frame, and I tackled the upholstery. Every detail was thoughtfully discussed. Including the conversations I had with myself about how to match up the plaid lines just right. 😆

Today that bench was placed in its final and rightful destination. ❤️

Each time I check on my mini pumpkin patch (which really just consists of last years pumpkins thrown into my veggie garden), I get more excited that they are even growing.

I recently discovered that I had an evil grub-like bug boring into my pumpkin vines and killing them. 🥺 So after some research, I learned that if you remove the bug and cover other nodes on the vine with dirt and keep them watered, they will re root and continue to grow. And guess what - it’s working!!

However, two small pumpkins were on the vines that were already dead. So I brought them inside to enjoy their beauty, until their return to the garden for next years pumpkin patch.

I think Mother Nature is telling me to enjoy my favorite season a little longer this year. 🥰🎃

Still wondering if there is a clever way to reuse samples 🤔

This is my kind of Black Friday Early Bird deal!

Believe it or not, not all samples are free. Most we have to pay for. And with each project being unique and customized, most samples aren’t reused from project to project.

I wonder what can be done with all these leftover samples that would cost more to return than they were to purchase. Share your ideas in the comments!

I’m certain my Mamaw loved her drawing but it’s a good thing my drawing skills have improved over the years… We all start somewhere!

Thankful to all my teachers along the way… Art classes, perspective classes, computer classes, sketching classes, AutoCAD classes. It all led up to current day success in providing clients with renderings they understand, a visual on how their space can actually look.

Remember that vent hood that I was hinting at?? Well here it is, in all its glory. 😍

Let me be the first to tell you that the creation and installation of this piece was not a walk in the park. It was hard. The detail work. Custom trim pieces. The amount of sanding. The “oopsies”. The duct work location. It was challenging.

But in the end it was entirely worth it! Well, to me it was. All those putting in the labor behind the scenes may or may not agree. 🤪

Who said carpet has to be boring?

The subtle pattern creates such an impact!

Some of the final punch list items are being done and I need some great photos of custom drapery to share with you all.

But otherwise, this space is all but complete!

Custom made 8ft tall walnut pantry doors. Custom trim with an inner and outer bead detail. And full length cremone bolt hardware in an antique brass finish.

Please excuse my absence on social media this week…. It’s been a BUSY week!

Lots of volleyball, vacation prep, typical project management. But the most exciting part? Furniture delivery day!!

Friday we had the pleasure of working with Venable Pro Moving Solutions, LLC and Interiors Home to receive the furniture delivery for the client’s newly renovated spaces. Both teams are always exceptional to work with!

We are nearing the end of the project with final wallpaper, lighting, and carpeting going in during the upcoming week. Stay tuned as we we work to bring this project across the finish line! 🏁
