Abundance Market: York’s first speciality micro grocer is hiring!

Abundance Market (located just outside of York City) is looking for a market associate who is passionate about food/cooking and local brands.

Hours are part-time but at least 1-2 Saturdays a month are a must. Rate to be discussed after interviews. No benefits at this time.

Job responsibilities include

-operate the register and handle transactions

-learning our local products/makers (this means yummy product samples to take home!)

-monitor inventory and product quality

-opening/closing duties

-light cleaning

This isn’t a “stand behind the register” kind of job. We’re looking for somebody that is excited about what this store will have to offer and talk to customers about it. Serious inquiries only.

We’ve been waiting for quite a while to introduce you to this guy.

Meet Abe. Our Abundance Market superfan. He’s not an employee- he’s a regular that keeps coming back for more. He’s always stalking our social media waiting for the next drop of new product. Usually the first customer in the door on a Saturday morning. Our hype man. He’s always talking about us wherever he goes. And yes- his bag is always overflowing when he leaves. Can you blame him?

Get used to seeing a lot more of Abe 😉

Last week we hosted our second orientation! Congrats to those that have completed this final step! We could feel the excitement drumming up in all of you.

Another step closer to our retail store opening!

Today we had our custom designed retail counter delivered and it made it all seem so close.

Did you know that if you are a vendor at AK you will have the option to sell your products at a retail store ATTACHED to the kitchen?

Imagine you are a food truck or a catering company with a weekend event. You are prepping for the big day at AK of course. But it gets better! You prep extra to package and place in the retail store just steps away from your prep table. Now imagine customers coming in buy your packaged food and learn they can book your food truck to sell that exact same meal at an event they are planning. What a great story!
