Litha, also known as the Summer Solstice, is the longest day of the year and one of the sunniest, brightest holidays on the Wheel of the Year. This year, it arrives on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

If you’re celebrating this Sunday, you don’t need anything elaborate. You can make it magical with simple seasonal rituals like:

Make a flower crown
Dance in the sunshine
Make sun catchers
Pick strawberries
Enjoy seasonal foods
Decorate your altar with flowers, herbs, candles, and solar symbols
Make a bonfire or light a candle
Have a picnic
Create sun tea
Meditate at sunrise

Litha is a wonderful time to honor the Sun, celebrate abundance, soak up a little extra light, and mark the turning point of the year.

Even something as simple as eating ripe berries outside, wearing yellow or gold, lighting a candle at sunset, or spending a few quiet minutes with the morning sun can become a Summer Solstice ritual.
