To me, it’s not just one perfect piece. It’s the feeling of warmth, age, texture, and charm layered together over time.

Natural wood. Collected ceramics. A landscape oil painting. Fresh flowers in an old vessel. Pieces that feel useful, beautiful, and quietly storied.

That feeling is such a big part of what inspires Marvella - bringing a bit of the English countryside charm into homes here in the Midwest 🤍

- Stay at my favorite Cotswolds hotel Billesley Manor
- Enjoy the slow country roads, stone villages, and fields full of sheep.
- Make a morning stop at Daylesford Organic Farmshop & Cafe
to shop the best market goods and home decor.
- Then wander through Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the “Venice” of the Cotswolds.
- Enjoy all the gelato, linger in cozy pubs, and discover hidden gems in every little village 🤍

The Cotswolds is the kind of place that makes you slow down, notice the details, and understand why we fell so deeply in love with English countryside charm.

So much of Marvella is inspired by this feeling - collected, romantic, storied, and never rushed.

When we choose pieces for Marvella, we’re never looking for perfect.

We’re looking for character. Age. Patina. Craftsmanship. Pieces that feel like they’ve lived a beautiful life and still have a story to tell.

It’s always easy to tell ourselves, “We don’t need anything else for the house.” Then an antique finds you and suddenly you’re convincing yourself that moving three lamps, a chair, and an entire corner of the room is completely reasonable. 🤍

Maybe that’s the best part about collecting for a home though — you aren’t searching for more things, you’re searching for the pieces that stop you in your tracks and make you think, “Yep… that’s coming home with me!”
