Happy modernist Monday, lovelies! This totally GORGEOUS googie style modernist building was transformed into a cafe/fabulous intimate event space four years ago and if you haven't been here, you NEED to visit it. Have you? If not, go. Now!
NEO- Cafe is run by a gorgeous, friendly, entrepreneurial, young Vietnamese couple, "Cheeky" (em Tung) and his partner, Thuy. They have set up an inviting cafe/bar space from which they run events, exhibitions and collabs, along with a whole range of exciting activities from time to time. They also co-own a craft beer brand, Deme Brewing, which is perfect for sipping on their rooftop bar. Try their calamansi beer - refreshing and delish!
They have pretty much left the space as is, which always scores big points in my modernist building loving book. It is such a great space - independently owned, supporting local artists and designers, sometimes offering a gateway into cultural and other events, and well worth supporting.
NEO- Cafe: 393/7 Hai Ba Trung, Xuan Hoa Ward (formerly District 3). Open from 9am, unless they had a big event the night before....
