Imvelo Candle Co, previously known as "Inspired By Driftwood" was launched in July 2021 out of a love for home fragrances. Having always had a connection and love for nature, it was important to me that this was the core focus for the brand and that the respect and love for nature be continued from Inspired By Driftwood and represented throughout - this is when IMVELO was born. "Imvelo" means natu
re in the African language Zulu and coming from South Africa, I felt the name was a perfect fit for what I wanted my brand to represent. At Imvelo, I only use natural soy wax across all my products as apposed to paraffin waxes which are ultimately derived from petroleum. I use cotton wicks in all candles and vegan bases in our diffusers. Being eco friendly and vegan friendly is terribly important to me and I want to be able to showcase that you can still enjoy beautifully fragranced products while paying attention to the ingredients and associated benefits. When it comes to packaging, I like "less is more" only in that it is reducing the amount we are using, which as a result reduces waste, which in turn is better for there planet. When packaging is used, I have ensured that it is recycled, recyclable and biodegradable. In keeping with Imvelo's ethos, morals and values, I want to be able to give back which is why I want to help and support as much as I can and is why I have chosen the Isle of Man Woodland Trust as a charity to support. With this support, I will be making regular donations, as well as getting deep in the earth by helping to plant trees here on our beautiful Island.
