Cake - 8/27 π° (15th Feb 2026)
π₯ π΅π-π©πππ π΄ππππ πͺπππππππππ
made this cake last February when mangoes were still in season π«
oh, and btw... I totally forgot to take pics of the ingredients and stuff cause it just completely slipped my mind and just started making the cake π my apologies, peasants ππ»ββοΈ
this one has been suggested by when he tried the no-bake pistachio cheesecake during Maiβs birthday,
he asked if I could make it on his bdayβ but funny enough it was his brother, , who got it first cause he wants this on his birthday as well. sibling rivalry at its finest π last two pics are what I made for Haroldβs bday last Feb π
I rate this one a range of 7-9/10 π since I made this cheesecake twice (one for the 27 cakes and the other one for the bday order and used two different varieties of mangoes) therefore, I conclude (char ga thesis yarn?????) that it depends on the variation of the mango that you will use in the recipe.
since there are so many varieties of mangoes here in Perth, I used Kensington mangoes for the first time, since itβs the one that tastes closest to the mangoes back home in the Philippines. The outcome is sooo good, bet kaayu ni Ate kay very nostalgic kaayu. Mura jud s**g mango shake sa peryahan sa pinas. Anyway, on the second try, I used the R2E2 (I like to call them Star Wars mango kay the name reminds me so much of R2-D2 ππ idk why aussies name it lyk dat) and itβs givinggg but not the same sa kensington. Lami gihapon pero mas lami tong una kay murag mango shake sa popcorn-an nga tag singko with cheese. So mao to sha, thank u for listening to my ted talk π
For anyone curious for the recipe, I just used the no-bake pistachio cheesecake recipe and replaced the pistachios with blended mangoes πππΌ
