After years of struggling with my own dry, sensitive and easily irritated skin, and further my young 3 year old son's eczema, I decided to look into making our own bath products.
Our favourite bath "goody" is my cocoa butter, oat and goats milk bath milk. It is all natural, and is a fine powder of which you add 1/8 of a cup into a bath to soak in. It has been beyond amazing my for little ones once raging eczema.
The cocoa butter and goats milk are both great for moisterising skin, the oatmeal has amazing anti inflammatory properties, is rich in antioxidants, and helps form a protective barrier to keep moisture in, in turn reducing itchiness.
A little goes a long way, and the results are fantastic. Even if you don't suffer from eczema or psoriasis, this a is great all natural way to add moisture into your skin.
My bath melts are made from natural cocoa butter and unrefined coconut. Pop one in your bath as you are running it and let it melt. This is another great way to have a moisterising bath, and allow your skin to feel the benefits.
If you are wanting a relaxing, calming and fragrant bath then my lavender and bergamot epsom bath salts hit the spot! Made with dried lavender flowers, and a few drops of good quality bergamot essential oil. Lavender promotes relaxation and can help promote a deep sleep, bergamot is uplifting and calming, and both can help with eczema! This is to name a few of the benefits. They are the perfect pairing for a bath.
