Good morning, my JEMS!
I hope you are all having a nice, relaxing weekend.
What a journey it has been in the last few years. Many wonderful things have happened, but there have been personal struggles, too. Unfortunately, this meant the business, and all the aspirations I had for it, were put on the back burner.
I wanted to set some goals for the business in 2026 and share those with you, as you will (hopefully) be seeing more of me on your timeline and on other platforms! You are the reason I have made it thus far. I appreciate every one of you.
Goals:
1. Build myself a space that is clear of clutter and sparks creativity.
A little secret, I have a neurospicy brain. I know where everything is, but I have 1,000 ideas at once, too much stuff, and not enough space. I was overwhelmed and drowning in everything. I don't know about you, but I can't work in clutter... even if I cause it, even if I know where everything is. So, I’m in the process of reorganizing my space.
2. I have been toying with the idea of building an offshoot of my business where I’d be making and selling Jelly Rolls.
I think collecting fabric and making things with the fabric are two separate hobbies. I like both, but I have too much fabric. I love the idea of curating a cohesive collection and letting someone else make something beautiful with it (and hopefully share the work they have done). This will be coming about by the end of summer, as long as there are no roadblocks, and I will be posting more about my journey as it unfolds.
3. I’m going to try posting more on social media. On Multiple Platforms.
I think a beautiful aspect of the craft community is how many people share ideas, tips, etc. Most of what I have learned is from watching videos or talking with other crafters. I want to help others in turn. It may not be posted on this platform, but there may be instructional videos and ‘hang out with me as I work’ sessions on YouTube/TikTok/etc.
4. Maybe add another fall craft fair to my list for 2026. This is a stretch goal.
The fall season tends to be busy in our household, so this goal will take some finesse. I have ideas and items already made, so if I can find the right show at the right time, I will let you know!
As always, this is a community. Thank you for your continued support; feel free to ask questions, throw out ideas, and chat with others on the fan page!
Much love and admiration,
Joanne
