Congratulations to the Karns MAC Cheerleading squad on taking 3rd place over all in their debut competition. Folks, these girls have never competed before. So handing out “better luck next year” tickets is a pretty big accomplishment. They also won in the Crowd Participation category over some pretty talented schools.

Sorry it’s been awhile. Everything got a little crazy and with the Facebook outage and what not. But we’re still here. We’re going to adding some new design elements here soon. Keep a close eye to our page for details. What we’re going to be doing, no one else has ever done. This will be a first and add much more customization to our offering.

It’s been a few days since we’ve posted anything. We’ve had a lot of hits and a lot of people asking about beds. Yes, our beds are going to be more expensive than what you can buy on Amazon. But they definitely stronger and less expensive than what comes from the big box stores. We even set them up for you.

I’ve been lately what size beds can we build. The answer will totally blow your mind and change your view on Newtonian Physics and accepted concepts of the universe. We can build ANY standard size bed and bed that we can make multiple mattresses work. Want a massive bed bigger than the California King? Yeah, we can do that. Sheets might be a problem though.

This is the lower base for a twin size floating platform bed. This is by far the most integral part of the whole bed. It has to remain “hidden” while still supporting the main bed, mattress and whomever is sleeping in it. If it’s not long enough or wide enough, the whole bed falls over in one direction or another when weight is applied. If it’s to long or to wide, it ruins the floating effect.

Do you have multiple kids sharing one room? Those beds, dressers, and desks sure do take up a lot of real estate. Have you considered getting rid of those old boring beds and giving you little ones something unique and fun? Floating loft beds don’t take up any floor space and can even integrate desks into them at the bottom to free up even more space. Still not enough? Welcome to Built by Dad. I strive to build high quality, solid wood floating platform beds. I can build them to any standard bed size and even include extras like LED under lighting and night tables. Need extra storage space for those winter blankets? No problem. I can integrate a trunk into the foot board. What it to look like it’s hanging from the ceiling? I can do that too.
