Have you heard the tune from HeeHaw many years ago..🎶if it weren’t for bad luck I’d have no luck at all, gloom, despair ands agony on me🎶? Well did you know you can get hit by a tornado twice in 10 months??? Well you can and I’ve got pictures to prove it. Sooo, guess im out of commissionuntil further notice. Hope everyone is safe tonight. Today has been a doozy.

Maybe you’ve noticed, I’ve been MIA since May…..This wasn’t my choice but a force stronger than I , made that decision. We were hit May 26th by a tornado. Our home suffered considerable damage causing tremendous water and mold issues. We moved out 4 days afterwards and after a long construction adventure moved back, in December. We are not completely finished but soooo close. This last month I have been working on personal pieces to replace some of the items we lost. And this is an example. I cut the curvy bottom off and added some trim to make it a little more modern and clean looking. Painted with Wise Owl Celtic Fog❤️and used Wise Owl salve on the top. These will be going into our guest room. Please contact me if you have any furniture needing a spring refresh!!

Another quick hand painted table for the niece. A 1990’s (?) piece transformed with Wise Owl One Hour Enamel in the color Smokey Quartz. Love the original silver k***s with this color.

Since I’ve decided to not take any new jobs while still dealing with storm damage, I’ve been getting some of my own and family pieces completed. Finished my Mom’s hope chest that will be going at the foot of our bed and painted a table for the niece’s first apartment. It was made by her brother in shop class several years ago. Love the Wise Owl paint lines and furniture salve!

I started to put my mark on my Mom’s 70 year old hope chest and realized I started this project many years ago. Any suggestions for what to do to this piece?? I do plan on restaining the top. And yes I did remove the latching device!

Well here’s the progress on the nightstand I picked up at GW that I did the video on. The drawer is in bad shape so it’s going to get some kind of wood treatment. This was the other green many of you voted for.
