Lilac and green in interiors is a very delicate pairing. One step - and it feels refined. Another - and it becomes overly sweet. The secret lies in nuance.

Lilac brings softness, but not in an obvious way. In dusty, muted shades, it adds a quiet emotional layer, like morning light, faded petals, or softened air. Calm rather than decorative.

Green, in this dialogue, becomes grounding. Sage, olive, eucalyptus; muted botanical tones return the space to nature, to shadow, stone. They give lilac depth and keep it from feeling overly romantic.

Together, these colors are not about contrast, but balance. One brings softness, the other structure. One feels like air, the other like earth.

This palette especially loves tactile materials: light oak, brushed brass, linen, travertine, warm stone, matte finishes. Because here, atmosphere matters more than color itself.

For me, lilac and green feel like an early morning garden: filtered light, quiet shadows, and air filled with stillness.

Color is never the point. Atmosphere is.

Not every interior begins with materials.
And not every space starts with an image.

Sometimes, it begins with light falling across a wall, the quiet of the morning, the texture of fabric, the shadow of blinds, or a colour that shifts throughout the day.

For me, interior design has always been about the way we live and the way we feel. About creating spaces that do not overwhelm, but allow us to breathe. Where architecture brings a sense of calm, and details work quietly, yet precisely.

I am interested not only in how a home looks, but in how it feels.
How the morning unfolds within it.
Where the sunlight lands during the day.
How the atmosphere changes by evening.

Because design is not a style.
It is a way of thinking about life, time, and the person living within a space.

The ancient Greeks considered beauty one of the highest values alongside truth and justice. In Plato’s Dialogues, beauty is almost inseparable from truth itself.
Beauty in an interior matters only when it works for the person living within it.A harmonious space does not separate aesthetics from function, it unites them naturally and precisely.
Function without beauty turns an interior into a system.Beauty without function becomes decoration.
True design is born where space supports life, rhythm, and the inner state of a person.
The best interiors do not try to impress. They create a feeling.

A Discipline of Calm

This interior doesn’t perform. It holds.

A kitchen conceived as architecture: clean planes, integrated storage, natural stone adding quiet depth.
At the center, a round table softens the geometry, shaping how life unfolds: slower, more intentional.

Light is not decorative here. It extends space, dissolves edges, creates continuity.

Materials remain restrained: warm wood, matte textures, neutral tones allowing presence without noise.

This is not minimalism as a style.
It is clarity as a method.

A space not designed to impress,
but to be lived in.

In a contemporary interior, where everything is defined by logic, proportion, and materiality, botanical elements remain the only uncontrolled gesture.

They resist complete compositional discipline.

Living branches introduce what cannot be constructed, natural variation, softness, and a sense of time.

Not decoration, but a tool that disrupts stillness and adds depth.

They shape the emotional layer of a space, creating a connection to nature, not visual, but almost physical.

In this simplicity, their strength 🌿

Design is not a style.
It is a way of thinking.

Architecture and interior design do not begin with decoration,
but with the discipline of thought.
Planning becomes a tool that shapes the scenarios of living.

Space is created with consideration for the rhythms, habits, and time of the person who will live here.

That is why true design begins long before materials and colors;
at the moment when it becomes clear how the space will be used today, and how it will evolve over time.🤍

As nature awakens, we can gently mirror its rhythm; both in our spaces and within ourselves. Beauty often lies in simple gestures, small moments that quietly shape our surroundings.
One of the most subtle ways to invite spring indoors is with branches in a vase. Unlike bouquets, they live longer, evolving slowly as buds open and leaves unfurl. Each day, they remind us of time’s gentle passage, adding a sense of life and movement to the space.
It’s a quiet invitation: spring has arrived. A delicate celebration of the season, lived slowly, noticed fully.

- Natalia, to begin, how would you describe your philosophy as an interior designer?

«I approach interior design as a study of atmosphere, not decoration. For me, each project begins
with a simple question: How should this space feel, not just look?
I work with natural materials, muted earth tones, and subtle light to create calm, grounded spaces
that age gracefully. Architecture, proportion, and texture guide every decision, while quiet luxury
emerges in the details you feel, not just see.
My goal is to craft interiors that resonate: intimate, structured, and enduring.»

I had the pleasure of speaking with Entremuros, a Mexican magazine on architecture and interiors. I shared how I see spaces; not as décor, but as experiences to feel. Calm, depth, subtle refinement, light, texture, and proportion matters.
For me, “less” is not a style, it’s a position. A quiet, balanced space becomes a natural expression of the soul.

An interior is not decoration, it is revelation.
Space becomes meaningful when it reflects the inner landscape of the one who lives within it.
I shape light, proportion, and material so that a home does not impress, but resonates 🤍
