I had a client come in with two rusty cast iron frames and some rotted wood a couple of weeks ago that his daughter found in the weeds at a house she'd bought. She asked him to throw them away. Turns out it's a cast iron school seat (back row) from 1894. He had the frames sandblasted and painted and I went to work on replacing the lumber. He's taking it back to her as a surprise.

I guess this could be called a souvenir display. Travel souvenirs will be attached and displayed in the lower area.

So, last week I posted photos of a wedge shaped end table that I'd made for a client who also happens to be a guitarist. Holly was quick to point out that it looked like I'd made him a guitar pick table. I thought "no, but what a great idea!" so here's a guitar pick end table in solid walnut with maple inlays. It's 16" wide x 18" deep x 24" tall and its available for purchase if any of my musician friends are interested. Otherwise it has a home in my music room! 😉
