Just completed: a collection of 12 English garden birds, all drawn and pyrographed by hand.
No lasers, no computers – only traditional wood-burning and many careful hours at the desk.

So, today I was contacted by a potential customer looking to buy my big 5 set. They asked me to produce the same 5 pieces but could I make it more professional and do it with a laser cutter.

The answer was No.. I do not do laser work. All my work is done by hand and via a pyrography pen. All my wood is local sourced from a fellow who cuts and sells the trees he takes down in people’s yards.

I cut, sand and prepare the wood in my workshop. Sometimes the wood stays in the shed for a year to dry out before I use it.

Below Is a photo of my setup and this past Father’s Day , I was lucky enough to receive a pen splitter so now I have 2 pyrography pens.

If you want laser work done. I can point you towards friends of mine who do laser work and produce very good laser work as well.

If you want my work, it’s all done by hand and is not straight lines and perfect like laser work.
