My Message In a Bottle

🐭 Meet my latest little beachcombing mouse.
Made from two mussel shells found at Hunstanton, with a nose created from a tiny microplastic bead found beneath St Michael's Mount. The whiskers were made from strands of discarded fishing rope collected from the shoreline.
I love giving these little finds a second life and turning them into something completely different. Sometimes the smallest treasures inspire the biggest smiles. ❤️

🇨🇦 What a wonderful day at the Heybridge Craft Fair today!
One of the highlights was meeting a lovely couple visiting from Canada for a few weeks. The gentleman had a real interest in UK sea glass and spent time chatting about the different pieces and their history.
I'm delighted that he chose a few of my sea glass pictures to take home with him, along with some sea glass to create his own jewellery back in Canada. It’s amazing to think that sea glass collected here on our shores will be given a new life and enjoyed on the other side of the world.
Moments like these make craft fairs so special. Safe travels and happy jewellery making! 🇨🇦💙

🍂 I'm excited to be attending the Essex Makers Market at The Jolly Sailor, Heybridge Basin, on Sunday 11th October from 10:30am to 3pm.

Looking forward to my first craft fair of the year at the fabulous Sudbury Arts & Crafts Centre this Sunday.
I’ll be bringing a fresh collection of coastal pieces, all made from treasures found along our local shoreline.
