When we planted garlic in late October of 2024 we only amended the bed with some blood meal and wood ash. October of 2025 we added 10% worm castings by volume to the raised bed and amended the bed heavily with feather meal, bone meal, kelp meal and langbeinite. I think the results speak for themselves!

A couple volunteer Cocozelle Zucchini popped up in our garden in late March, where I planned to plant tomatoes. I let it go assuming it would be killed by frost, but it didn’t! They are now nearly flowering at the time when I typically plant zucchini seeds in the ground! Wild!

Come see us tomorrow at the Arnold Farmers Market 8am - 12pm! Fresh Compost Tea liquid fertilizer will be available and of course worm castings.

Our Worm Compost Tea is doing wonders for our cabbages! We add Insect Frass which contains chitin to our tea to help our plants protect themselves from pests. Unsurprisingly, cabbage worms have found our trap pants, so we are applying casting tea as a foliar spray today to ensure they are ready for pests even under the row covers.
