I am many things, a sister, friend, aunt, historic preservationist, volunteer, pet owner and crafter. I sew, weave, do origami, embroider, and would love to learn how to really knit one day. As you can tell, overall I love fiber arts. Blue Hippo was created as my "brand" name for my crafts when I began selling through Coulee Arts Marketplace. Let me know what I can make for you!

Hi Blue Hippo friends!! I have not been very active on this page for awhile, but I want to share with you some products I have been working on. So check out the photos of my hand embroidered flour sack towels! 100% cotton, approximately 30 x30 inches square, prewashed. The design inspiration is 1950s and '60s vintage embroidered designs like your grandma had in her kitchen, with my modern, snarky, spicy phrases which make them fun and unexpected. To order them contact me here, $15/each plus shipping if you are not local. The designs do not cover the entire towels, only the lower center, approximately the size of printer paper. I hope you enjoy them!
