Two commissions: -

1. Our Lady of Medjugorje is the title for reported visions of the Virgin Mary starting in 1981 in Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on peace, prayer, and conversion

2. The last supper, the original painting I could not research, but this is the focus of what I think is a bigger picture, showing the depth of love shown between Jesus and the one called John the beloved disciple.

These are very different styles of art that I’m use to but have tested me beyond what I’m use to. I have also enjoyed researching the background to these pictures.

Disclaimer I used AI to put a frame around one the show the customer what it would look like. Framing is too come 😉

Two of many healing stories:

I wanted to share these two paintings from my project. Both depict miraculous healing stories from the Bible, yet they show two very different responses to Jesus.

In picture 1, the man in John 5 had been waiting for healing for a very long time. He had placed his hope in superstition and in the help of others, but nothing had changed. When Jesus asked him, “Do you want to be healed?”, you would expect an immediate “Yes!” Instead, he responded with reasons and excuses about why he had not been healed.

I love how The Chosen (TV series) portrays this moment and has Jesus ask the question again. It makes me wonder: am I ever like that man? Looking more at my circumstances than at Jesus? I know there have been times when I have been, whether for myself or while praying for someone else.

In contrast, picture 2 shows the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years (Luke 8). She had spent all she had on physicians, yet no one had been able to heal her. Despite everything she had been through, she still had enough faith to reach out to Jesus. Perhaps it was desperation. Perhaps she felt she had nothing left to lose. Whatever the reason, she took a step toward Him.

I think people reading this will find themselves in both of these stories. Some may feel weary and disappointed. Others may be holding on to faith. And some are trusting Jesus while waiting for the ultimate healing promised to us, when there will be no more sorrow, suffering, or pain (Revelation 21).

Wherever you find yourself today, my prayer is that you would have hope. But even more than that, that you would seek Jesus. He still heals, whether through a miraculous touch or through the gifted medical professionals He has provided.

I was very exited to receive these this week!!!

Got my self some business cards sorted with my new logo and rebrand which looks a lot more professional than my home made screen shot done on word 🥴 and a selection of trial stickers all for different possibilities when giving art work to people.
