Sometimes, changing your environment is the beginning of changing your life. โค๏ธ
If the people and environment around you are no longer positively impacting your life, donโt be afraid to make a change.
Sometimes, we donโt realize how much the people we constantly surround ourselves with can influence us. The conversations we have, the things we normalize, the habits we pick up, and even the way we begin to see life can all be affected by the people we spend the most time with.
That is why it is very important to pay attention to the circle you associate yourself with.
Ask yourself: Are these people genuinely adding value to my life, or are they slowly pulling me away from the person I want to become?
Not everyone around you wants to see you fail, but not everyone around you is meant to go with you into your next chapter either.
Sometimes, you have to distance yourself from certain people, not because you hate them, not because you think you are better than them, and not because you want to prove a point, but because you have realized that your life, your peace, your growth, and your future matter.
And when I say โcut them off,โ I donโt necessarily mean you should stop talking to them completely or become rude to them. You can still greet them. You can still respect them. You can still wish them well.
But you donโt have to keep hanging out with them every day.
You donโt have to keep putting yourself in environments that constantly drain you, distract you, discourage you, or make you comfortable with remaining stagnant.
Because the truth is, if you keep swimming in the same direction as people who are sinking, you may eventually start sinking with them.
Sometimes, growth requires distance.
Sometimes, protecting your future means changing your circle.
Sometimes, becoming the person you pray to become means leaving behind certain conversations, certain habits, certain environments, and even certain friendships.
Choose people who inspire you.
Choose people who encourage you.
Choose people who challenge you to become better.
Choose people who genuinely want to see you win.
And most importantly, become that kind of person for others too.
Your circle matters. Your environment matters. Your peace matters. Your future matters.
Donโt be afraid to outgrow people.
You are not being wicked by choosing growth. You are simply choosing not to remain where you can no longer flourish. โค๏ธ๐
Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is simply change the people you give access to your time, energy, and mind.
Choose your circle wisely. Your future may depend on it.
