Vita Liquid Polymer Formed nearly 60 years ago as British Vita, the Vita Group now operates worldwide with some 80 sites in 20 countries. It supplies a range of materials for a host of industrial applications and is a market leader in many of these industries.
Applications of latex compounds are numerous: mixtures based on natural and synthetic latex for the carpet, textile, mattress, automotive and aircraft industry. The latex compounds play an important part in the binding of pile material, the improvement of the cutting strength, the adhesion of materials and the increased comfort of the end product by the incorporation of a foam system.
The most important compound groups are:
• PVA and EAV

• PVC Plastisols
are dispersions of polyvinyl chloride resins in plasticizers, which are modified with other materials to give a range of plastisols with widely varying properties.
Applications include rotational and dip moulding, fabric coatings, filtration and wallcoverings.

• NO-GEL FOAM
Description: No-gel foams are based on styrene-butadiene latex filled with calcium carbonate.
The compound is vulcanised by adding vulcanisation dispersion.
The no-gel foam can be delivered with vulcanisation dispersion in it; otherwise it is also possible to deliver the no-gel foam and the vulcanisation dispersion separately.
There is no gelling agent used.
Application: Absorbtion of energy, caused by pressure exerted by footprints or heavy furniture.
Prolongation of life of carpets/rugs.
Increase of luxury- and sales aspect.

• AMMONIUM ACETATE GEL FOAM
Description: Ammonium acetate gel foams are based on a blend natural latex/styrene-butadiene latex, or solely styrene-butadiene latex filled with calcium carbonate.
A vulcanisation dispersion is necessary for vulcanisation. The ammonium acetate gel foam can be delivered with a vulcanisation dispersion in it; otherwise it is also possible to deliver the AAG-foam and the vulcanisation dispersion separately.
Under the influence of a gelling agent (ammonium acetate solution) and infra red rays, there is a phase inversion from liquid to solid.
Advantages over no-gel foam:
Higher mechanical qualities and water resistance
Possibility to compress the foam layer (before vulcanisation) for embossed structures
Good foam structure and surface

• SELF GEL FOAM
Description: Self gel foams are based on a blend natural latex/styrene-butadiene latex filled with calcium carbonate.
A vulcanisation dispersion is necessary for vulcanisation; there is no gelling agent used.
The self gel foam can be delivered with a vulcanisation dispersion in it; otherwise it is also possible to deliver the self gel foam and the vulcanisation dispersion separately.
Under the influence of infra red rays, there is a phase inversion from liquid to solid.
Advantages over no-gel foam:
Higher mechanical qualities and water resistance
Possibility to compress the foam layer (before vulcanisation) for embossed structures
Good foam structure and surface
• PRECOAT
Discription : Precoats are compounds based on a carboxylated styrene-butadiene latex, filled with calcium carbonate.
Application: Pile binding. The precoats determine the stiffness of the carpet.

• AUTOMOTIVE COMPOUNDS
Description Type 1:
Ready-compounds for the automotive industry are based on natural latex or styrene-butadiene latex. They contain a vulcanisation dispersion, which can be flame retardant.
Application: Strengthen and/or enhancing flame retardant capacities of interior material of car seats
Description Type 2:
Compounds based on thermoformable carboxylated styrene-butadiene latex.
Application: Used in automotive industry for materials to cover shaped parts of car interior
