A Tula Pink stunner! 🤩

Made with Tula Pink’s “Floral Reef” collection, this quilt is so playful and carefree. Plus, every section is custom-quilted!

The squiggly quilting in the sashing immediately stands out, but look closer and you’ll notice the cornerstones have a custom-quilted design, too. And those larger blocks — do you see what’s inside them?

The more you look, the more details you find. You just can’t look away! 😍

Take the covers off the machine and what do you see? Metal!

The machines that we sell at our store are known for their reliability and durability, and the reason is simple: their interior frame is made of all metal, giving the machine a strong foundation that can stand up to years of sewing and long-term wear.

Yes, the exterior of the machine might be plastic, but that’s mostly for aesthetic and protective reasons. If you remove those plastic covers, you’ll see that the entire shape of the machine stays intact.

When you pair the panels from the “My Secret Garden” collection with fabrics from the “Blooming Color Harmony” line, you get a match made in Heaven. 😍

Let’s talk about the panel first. There are nine designs in one panel, each featuring a seed packet with vintage florals and script. They’re absolutely gorgeous, the colors popping out against the black and cream background. Sunflowers, pansies, marigolds, and coneflowers… don’t you just want to take each one and plant your own little garden?

And the “Blooming Color Harmony” fabrics are, at the risk of sounding repetitive, *harmonious* with the panels. The rich saffron, fern, and terracotta hues enhance the beauty in the seed packet flowers and bring the entire scene together into a dreamy landscape.

Your porch deserves pillows sewn from these pieces, with the panels in the center and the Blooming Color Harmony fabrics bordering and backing them. But we’d forgive you if you decided to get some just to admire, too—they're so pretty, we don’t blame you for not wanting to cut into them!

Tanya and Marlene were our very first hoppers for the All Southeast Shop Hop, and since their visit, we’ve seen so many more of you hopping our way!

Celebrating the Ascot Quilt Pattern or auditioning our Halloween costumes?

Three Ascot quilts were serendipitously in our shop at the same time—layer cakes and this easy quilt pattern are a winning combination, so we had to snap a photo to mark the occasion! We accidentally ended up looking like bedsheet ghosts, except with a patchwork flair! 👻

It’s settled, then—we've found our Halloween costumes! Now that we have that taken care of, what do you say we start making something else for spooky season? With our current Halloween fabrics, that should be easy!

The Purrs & Boos Collection is first on the list of our boo-tiful inspiration. It leans sweet with a touch of spooky, full of kitty cats and jack-o'-lanterns wearing witch’s hats and concocting spells amidst a haze of soft pink, orange, cream, and black. Its cuteness is spellbinding! (If you look closely, the middle quilt pictured here uses this collection. 😻)

But does it glow in the dark? The ghosts in the Sweet Treat Collection do! As if the haunted houses, cats on broomsticks, and dancing spiders weren't charming enough, the trick-or-treating ghosts light up when the lights go out. Now that's a Halloween treat!

So if we wanted to make another quilt, a tote bag, a matching wallet, some bowl cozies, pillowcases, a giant quilted bow, and maybe a quilty witch’s hat, will we have enough time before October 31? Absolutely!

The sweetest part of our summer classroom is watching our campers transform from beginner sewists into serious creatives!

Every year, our summer camps welcome kids of all ages and skill levels to learn to sew, and every year, we're amazed by how much they accomplish in just a few days. Upcycled outfits, handmade dresses, backpacks, quilts, plushies, scrunchies, and even designing their own fabric—they take on a wide variety of projects, and our campers tackle each one with enthusiasm. The results are always amazing!

Now that back-to-school is here, we hope that our campers carry their imagination and curiosity with them into the new school year. We look forward to seeing them back in the sewing classroom soon!

Maker Spotlight: Ghost sighting! 👻

This adorable patchwork ghost floated into the shop. It is inspired by the book, The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt. What a sweet project — it’s just the right quilt to cuddle up with during a good read. 📘
