But I still wouldn’t want to change it for the world! I really love working for myself.

At the moment I’m in an extreme quiet period which is a bit scary. The economy is tough right now and I am hearing many small businesses saying the same. Fingers crossed we all get through it!! 🤞🤞🤞

I’ve been enjoying painting my abstract landscape collection so much. They’ve become a bit of a go to when I just fancy some gentle escapism. They seem to appear quite organically and I trust the process entirely, choosing colours depending on my mood and experimenting with different marks to create texture.
Some have been inspired by photographs and others are purely imaginary. It’s so nice to see them all together and remember different phases. I started off with gentle pastel shades, almost ethereal water scenes, and more recently have been drawn to brighter colours and creating more depth with the idea of fields and mountains.
I love that a collection can just keep growing and evolving and take new directions every so often. Working with watercolours and oil sticks are two very therapeutic mediums as they have a spontaneity of their own and they really lead the way. I feel like they are guiding the paintings without any preconceived ideas of the end result.
I am hoping to add some to my website for sale very soon so let me know if you have your eye on one. Would love to hear your thoughts on the collection so far.

My last bauble order of the year!
I have a lovely customer in the US who orders every year, usually multiple times, and she kindly ordered 6 of my pet baubles for all her cats past and present.
I’ve loved painting your pet portrait baubles but I have to admit for some reason I find cats much harder to paint than dogs. So I was a little nervous to paint this order but I’m so pleased with how it turned out. My favourite is the black and white Otto cat bauble. I just love his little pink nose 🥰
I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported my biz this year…whether you’ve placed an order, or liked and shared my posts, or popped by for a chat at one of my markets. It really means the world to me!
I am so incredibly happy to wind down now for Christmas. It’s been an intense couple of months so I’m really cherishing this down time and starting to feel the Christmas joy! 🎄
I hope you have a magical Christmas, whatever you’re up to 🎄🥰❤️ This year has gone so fast and I’m excited to see what 2026 brings!! Xx
