Today’s share is a customer wall where every square is doing a job – tiny shelves for tape, a home for chisels, a safe spot for glue bottles, and that one favourite hammer.

How nice is this French cleat block plane rack that Robbert made over in Holland?
Brass planes in leather pouches on a clean panel… this is the kind of holder that makes you want to put your tools away.

One of my fav tool holders.

That “ohhh there it is” feeling when your drill, batteries, and bits all live on one wall.

Today’s project was turning part of this wall into a cordless drill station with four little French cleat helpers working as a team.

I glued two thin steel strips to the back of the drill bit box so it snaps onto the wall with a pair of magnets.

If you want to see it come together in 2 minutes, the new video’s up on YouTube – https://youtu.be/6xnQ5XenN6s

What tool would you give its own parking spot first?

Stop wasting time hunting for your drill, batteries, and that one missing bit. In this short video, I show you my cordless drill station: a two‑shelf battery...

Who knew lining up pencils could feel this satisfying?

The pencils sit in a neat rainbow instead of a tangled pot.

Tell me: are your pencils team “wall-mounted” or team “coffee mug”?

Headphone stand envy is real.

I kept seeing those sleek gamer stands and thought, “why do my ear defenders live on a random nail?”

So I gave them their own French cleat throne instead.

Where do your defenders sleep between projects?

Tired brain + loose sharp tools = bad combo.
Here's a nest for the fiddly suturing tools and giving the anti‑cut gloves their own clip next door.

Now when I reach up, everything’s there, and the bench looks way less “crime scene”.

Save this if your sharp stuff still lives in a random drawer.

Imagine sitting down to sew, and everything you need is already in sight.

That’s what happens when your most‑used thread and bobbins live on the wall instead of in a pile.

You don’t have to be “naturally tidy” – you just need places that are easy to put things back.

Which craft supply would calm your space the most if it had a home like this?

Router table hack time 🔧

Want an 8 mm cut height without guessing?

1️⃣ Drop an 8 mm drill bit on the router plate
2️⃣ Zero your digital angle gauge on the plate
3️⃣ Span a bit of MDF across the drill bit and router bit
4️⃣ Raise or lower the router bit until the gauge reads 0.00

Perfect height, every time—no rulers, no squinting.

Tiny tools, big chaos… until they all move into their own little nests.

Between cups of coffee, I made some Neat Cleat Nests, and now the pencils and other tools aren't cluttering my bench. Now I can enjoy looking at this part of the wall.

Tag a friend whose pencils and brushes deserve a better home than a jam jar on a bench.
