The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) at the V&A Waterfront is a shining example of architectural heritage and modern innovation in Cape Town. Housed in the historic Grain Silo Complex, originally built in 1921, the building has been meticulously restored to preserve its industrial charm while transforming it into a world-class art museum & hotel.

The restoration embraced the unique cylindrical silos and the iconic façade, carefully blending the old with the new.
Using Keim Concretal Lasur, a mineral-based concrete stain known for its durability and breathability, the team was able to protect and enhance the original concrete surfaces while allowing the building’s rich history to remain visible.
This approach ensured that the weathered texture and authentic character of the silos were maintained, offering visitors a tangible connection to Cape Town’s industrial past.

Today, the Zeitz MOCAA stands as a beacon of culture, heritage, and innovation, celebrating both African contemporary art and the enduring legacy of the city’s architectural history.✨

The Headquarters of Humana People to People Africa in Shamva, Zimbabwe, stands as a testament to both durability and thoughtful design.
Nestled in the lush, rural landscape of Mashonaland Central, the building has served as a central hub for the organization’s community development initiatives for decades.
Its structure reflects functional simplicity, designed to blend into its natural surroundings while supporting the daily operations of programs that focus on health, education and sustainable farming across the region.

One of the most notable aspects of the headquarters is its exterior, which was painted with high-quality Keim mineral paints over 20 years ago.
The paint gracefully still today maintained its vibrant finish despite years of exposure to Zimbabwe’s sun and seasonal rains.

The enduring colours of the walls, enriched by the mineral-based pigments, give the building a timeless and authentic character that reflects the organization’s long-term commitment to the community.
This lasting finish exemplifies the harmony between sustainable materials and the African environment.

The headquarters continues to function as a lively center where staff and community members collaborate on initiatives that uplift local villages and promote self-reliance, with its enduring façade standing as a quietly inspiring symbol of resilience and purpose.💙
