Paired here with a Punu Mask from Gabon — traditionally associated with the Punu/Bapunu people. Recognisable for its serene, idealised features and often its white kaolin-covered face, Punu masks are connected to representations of female ancestors and were historically used in ceremonial and spiritual performances.
