I need to get this off my chest.
At the market the other day, I missed a moment.
I was on my phone, quickly trying to sort something out. I noticed someone near my stall, but I thought she was still browsing.
Later, my husband told me she had actually picked up a few garments, walked to the front, and waited.
And I didn’t look up properly.
She put everything back and walked away.
I did call out and say hello as she left, but by then the moment had passed.
And honestly, it has stayed with me.
Not because I lost a sale.
Because I may have made someone feel ignored.
That is the part that bothered me.
Cosy Corner Creations is built around thoughtful little things. Baby gifts. Keepsakes. Clothing chosen with love. Things that are meant to make people feel cared for.
And yet, in one distracted moment, I may have made someone feel unseen.
So this is my small reminder to myself.
Look up. Be present. Notice the person in front of you.
Because sometimes people are not just browsing.
Sometimes they are deciding. Sometimes they are unsure. Sometimes they just need a warm hello.
And if that was you, I am truly sorry.
You mattered more than whatever was on my phone and I am sorry I missed that moment.
How often do you get ignored at a market stall and how does it make you feel?
