Edward Lear was famous for his nonsense poems and wonderfully silly drawings.

This sketch shows a floating figure being cheerfully carried along by some very helpful geese.

It makes no sense — and that’s the point. Lear believed imagination mattered more than logic, and his light, playful style still makes people smile today 😂😆😁

Hiroshige is a big deal in Japanese art!

He created thousands of prints and became one of the most loved artists of the Edo period, famous for turning ordinary views into scenes people couldn’t stop looking at.

His work was affordable, widely shared, and everywhere, a bit like the posters of his time.

This wave is about motion and mood! The water curls and stretches like it’s caught mid-dance, full of energy but never overwhelming.

Hiroshige had a gift for making nature feel alive, familiar, and strangely calming all at once!

His prints travelled far beyond Japan and later inspired artists like Van Gogh and Monet.

Today, they still feel fresh.
