Breakfast timeee... Mealie meal porridge with peanut butter sweetened with brown sugar. Then our beverage is a hibiscus tea... beautiful start to the day, as long as you don't start dozing off...

We are cooking outside today! One thing about cooking on a fire and in a potjie (3 legged pot) is it allows for a beautiful slow cook. Smokey flavours are retained whilst all the flavours marinate into each other.

Traditionally used in Zimbabwean cooking and around Southern Africa.

Today we have some yummy Beef bones 😋

Someone ask for some brisket??? Slow cooked for about 8 hours we surely made this one juicy and soft to the bite, no need for floss if you ask me. Drenched in black pepper sauce, served with a soft garlic potato mash.

Antipasto pasta salad... Easy Mediterranean salad, fresh and flavourful.

Fusili pasta x Olives x Dried Oregano x confit cherry tomatoes x Bell peppers x English cucumbers, broccoli x Dash of Olive oil.

*** PREPARATION***

Prepare your pasta by seasoning boiling water with your preferred sodium, add a bit of olive oil. This will help the pasta not to stick to each other. Once done, strain and cool off, drizzle a bit of olive oil again.

In a separate bowl.
Slice English cucumber into cubes and add to the bowl. If you have a gas plate put bell peppers and char them until the skin is black, add to cold water and peel off skin. When cold, dice the peppers and add to tje bowl, add fresh and dried Oregano. Chop cherry tomatoes into halves and add.Add Brocolli, whether roasted or steamed and finally add olives in desired quantities. You can also add feta cheese if desired (highly recommended)...
