A small artisan candle maker based in Dubai, producing handmade scented candles and wax melts with loving care and attention to detail. Our candles have a beautiful aroma, as you would expect from a luxury candle, and are designed and tested to burn evenly. From placing the wicks in the glasses by hand to pouring the fragrance oils at just the right temperature to ensure a fantastic scent throw, we do it all ourselves!

We’re in South West France at the moment, and I thought it would be helpful to share a little more context about the future HQ of The Oasis Candle Co.

Many of you have been following our journey, and this next chapter brings together several parts of our life here in France — our holiday home (which we hope will one day become our forever home), - the gîte we run, and now the exciting plans for the beautiful old barn.

Work is due to begin in January, transforming what is currently an empty barn space into the future home of The Oasis Candle Co: a dedicated candle workshop, a hub for local artisan-led workshops, and a small retail space showcasing our products and other makers.

This video hopefully helps bring the vision to life a little more clearly. We’re incredibly excited to see this space evolve over the coming months and can’t wait to share the journey with you. 🤍

We’re making the most of the Eid break (and one of the perks of being empty nesters… no school term restrictions) and heading off to our French home a little earlier than usual for our summer escape 🇫🇷

Before you picture endless rosé and lazy lunches… it won’t all be relaxation! Our gîte is fully booked for summer, and I love being a hands-on hostess to make sure every guest has the best possible stay 🤍

We also have meetings lined up with builders and suppliers as we get everything in place for building work to begin in January on the new Oasis HQ in France… equal parts exciting and nerve-racking!

Back in Dubai, you can still shop online as usual (please note any orders placed over the Eid holiday will be fulfilled from June 1st), or visit our main stockist in person

We’ll be back in September for our in-person pop-ups and our weekly spot at Waitrose Motor City with 🙌🏻

Last chance to catch us at a market before we head off early for summer!

We’ll be at the Waitrose Community Market in Motor City this Thursday from 9am–5pm, and we’d absolutely love to see you there 🤍

As this will be our final market until September, it’s the perfect chance to stock up on all your home fragrance favourites before the summer holidays begin. Whether you need candles for yourself, gifts for friends, or a little seasonal refresh for your home, now’s the time.

And with teacher gift season just around the corner, we’ll also have lots of lovely gifting options available — thoughtful little thank-yous that smell amazing too.

We’ll be taking a little summer pause after this market, but we’ll be back in September with some exciting additions to the range that we can’t wait to share with you.

Hello, I’m Natalie… 52, mildly unhinged, and living my best midlife crisis making candles!

I’m a Brit who’s lived in Dubai for 15 years 🇦🇪 which is long enough to call it home!

Mum to two brilliant grown-up daughters (one off at uni and one now working, both back in the UK, leaving me emotionally unstable and checking their locations far too often) and wife to Chris (long-suffering but endlessly supportive.)

I’m the maker behind The Oasis Candle Co. I hand pour every candle, care far too much about them and I’m quietly convinced (most of the time) that they’re excellent, despite having the marketing skills of a damp flannel (but seriously, you can’t smell through Instagram so how do I tell you how good they are?)
What started as a “cute little hobby” while I was on the corporate ladder turned into my full-time job 5 years ago… largely because my husband said “go on, it’ll be fine” - told you he’s supportive!

Important things to know:
• I have regular flare-ups of imposter syndrome
• I find social media deeply confusing and mildly traumatic
• My Instagram grid is not curated—it’s more “chronological evidence of me trying”

This page is basically a mix of:
🕯️ candles I’m quite proud of
💭 thoughts I sometimes regret posting
😂 midlife humour (heavy on the “f@ck it” energy)
📉 and the occasional quiet spiral disguised as a caption

And now for the big dream…
One day I’ll be in the French countryside, running a beautiful workshop surrounded by lavender fields, creativity, calm… the whole “effortlessly chic woman with her life together” aesthetic.

People will come, make candles, drink wine, feel inspired…
…and in reality, I will still be me - slightly chaotic, overthinking everything and Googling things I should probably already know!

We’ve got the property ( ), the architect is working on the plans, and this next chapter is slowly becoming real—which is both thrilling and mildly terrifying.
