Money Plants (Golden Pothos) will shed their leaves if they go through a period of severe underwatering.

Why?

They do this to maintain water pressure.

Leaves let out water.

When underwatered, the leaves let out water that the plant doesn’t have.

So many plants kill off their own leaves to try to preserve water pressure.

The takeaway? Don’t let your Money Plant get to that stage.

If you see its leaves drooping, that’s your sign to give it a good drink!

🛑 STOP potting directly into decorative pots.

If you want your plants to actually survive in Dubai, you need to master the “Double Pot” method.
1️⃣ Keep the plant in the plastic nursery pot
2️⃣ Place that inside your beautiful ceramic planter
3️⃣ Lift, water, drain, return.

📝 The Plntd “Chunky” Mix Recipe:
• 45% Premium Coco Peat (The base)
• 30% Orchid Bark or Coco Chips (Creates air pockets)
• 20% Perlite (For fast drainage)
• 5% Soil conditioner and fertilizer
This mix holds water inside the chunks but lets excess water drain out immediately. No wet feet. No root rot.
