R I O | The Making of a Timeless Kitchen | The Heart of the Home

Not every kitchen is designed around trends. Some are designed around people.

For this home, the journey began with listening—understanding our clients’ rituals, values, and the feeling they wanted to experience every day. The result is a kitchen that feels timeless, deeply personal, and quietly luxurious.

Walnut became the defining thread of the composition, bringing warmth, depth, and permanence to the space. At its center, a remarkable stone island anchors the room—a slab that took over six months to find, selected not for perfection, but for character.

The Pierre Frey stools introduce an unexpected layer of soul, adding texture, personality, and a sense of collected beauty that softens the architecture.

Every detail was considered. Every material chosen with intention.

Because the most meaningful spaces are not created by following trends—they are created by listening.

A kitchen designed to gather, connect, and endure.

The true heart of the home. ✨

T H U R S D A Y | Q U O T E S | It’s not just handmade — it’s heart-made.

At C’est ici Design, craftsmanship has never been only about the making.
It is about intention, emotion, and the quiet dedication behind every detail.

From the first sketch to the final finish, true craftsmanship carries a human touch — the patience of the artisan, the story behind the material, and the care that transforms an object into something meaningful.

In a world of fast production, we continue to celebrate pieces created with soul, where imperfections become character, and where design feels deeply personal.

Because the most beautiful spaces are not only designed — they are felt. ✨

L U N A | Soft Form, Bold Presence | The STORY | part of I N V E R T I | by x

The story of LUNA began quietly in our office. Originally inspired by one of our bespoke studio chairs — a piece that constantly captured attention through its sculptural silhouette and soft proportions — we wanted to reinterpret the design into something more expressive, collectible, and functional.

The base remained true to its origins: curved walnut forms, grounded in craftsmanship and simplicity. But during the design process, we felt the piece needed tension. A contrast. Something unexpected.

That is where the bold Pierre Frey textile entered the story. A subtle oriental influence layered with a refined French sensibility — bringing depth, richness, and character to the softness of the bouclé seat.

The curved backrest was then introduced not only as an aesthetic gesture, but as a functional one — designed to embrace the body while completing the visual language of the piece.

Catalina became a balance of opposites:
soft yet bold, sculptural yet practical, timeless yet expressive.

A piece born from our own space, reimagined through materiality, emotion, and story. Book an appointment for a close up |

O N I X | C R U S H | where material becomes atmosphere |

At C’est ici, a bar is never just a function — it’s a moment.

It’s where architecture softens into experience. Where materials take center stage, and every detail becomes intentional.

Our process always begins with the story.
Who gathers here? How does the space unfold? What should it feel like — intimate, sculptural, or quietly bold?

From there, we build through materiality.
Stone that carries weight. Oak that brings warmth. Metal that reflects light with precision. Every junction, every edge, every finish is considered.

We often choose to expose the bar — not hide it.
Because a well-designed bar deserves presence. It anchors the space, creates rhythm, and invites interaction.
night

It’s these moments that transform it from a feature into a focal point.

This is where design meets atmosphere.
This is where spaces come alive.

M D W | T H E | D E S I G N | I S S U E ~ Milan doesn’t begin with objects—it begins with matter.

At Milan Design Week, our lens shifts. We are not searching for products, but for origins. For the raw intelligence of materials before they are shaped into form. Stone before it becomes a table. Metal before it becomes structure. Glass before it becomes reflection.

This week, we move through different platforms—galleries, installations, showrooms—not as spectators, but as editors of material language.

In spaces like Rossana Orlandi Gallery, the narrative is clear: experimentation leads. Here, material is pushed beyond expectation—resins that behave like fabric, metals that feel almost liquid, surfaces that dissolve the boundary between art and function. It’s not about usability; it’s about possibility.

Across the city, in the layered districts of Brera and Navigli, the dialogue shifts but the principle remains. Materials are no longer static—they are experiential. Timber becomes atmosphere. Travertine becomes rhythm. Textiles become architecture. Each platform speaks a different dialect, but all are rooted in the same idea: depth over decoration.

Innovation, then, is not loud. It is precise.

It lives in the way a surface is finished. In the way two materials meet. In the tension between weight and lightness. This is where design evolves—not in reinventing objects, but in redefining how materials behave, connect, and endure.

For us at C’est ici, this week is not about collecting references. It is about refining a point of view.

A commitment to design that begins before form.
A practice grounded in composition, not accumulation.
A belief that when you understand the material, the object becomes inevitable.

Materials first. Always.

T H E | J O U R N E Y ~ thank you
2025. You reminded us that success isn’t measured in numbers, deadlines, or how many projects we complete — but in the moments in between.
Moments of creation, pause, collaboration, and growth.
Of trusting the process.
Of choosing depth over noise.

Each space reminded us why we do what we do —
to craft interiors that feel lived in, personal, and timeless.

The quiet mornings before a concept takes shape.
The conversations that shift a design’s direction.
The trust built, the lessons learned, the process lived fully.

This year was about presence over pace. About honouring the journey, not rushing to the outcome. Because the most meaningful work is created when we allow ourselves to enjoy the process — thoughtfully, intentionally, and together.

Here’s to designing with purpose, staying curious, and continuing to fall in love with the journey. ✨
