我對手作的熱情可以追溯到童年時期，動手造的美好回憶是那麼實在。這些年我努力學習不同的金工技術，希望將原創插畫中的靈感變成獨特的黃銅作品，這些作品對我來說意味著人生的一些故事，雖然平淡但喜悅，但願它們也能為你帶來點點暖意。

Hello, I'm Pearl Leung, a children's book illustrator based in a beautiful town in England. My passion for handmade creations goes back to my childhood when the joy of making things with my hands felt so wonderful. Over the years, I have been learning different metalworking techniques, hoping to turn the inspiration from my original illustrations into unique brass pieces. These pieces represent some stories of my life, simple but joyful. I hope they can also bring you a little warmth.

🌿After my father passed away, I returned to England last year and slowly slipped back into everyday life.

I kept creating.
I made one piece after another.
Even The Giraffe Who Couldn’t Look Up and Another Monday came to life during that time.

There was always something new coming out of the studio, but somehow, I felt lost.

I was creating, but I couldn’t find the soul of PearlCatCat.

So I stopped.

Instead of moving forward, I turned back.

I took some of my old brass pieces, cut them apart, painted them again, and put them back together.

And somewhere among those little pieces, I found something I had almost forgotten:

why I started creating in the first place.

I realised that perhaps I hadn’t been looking for a way out of the forest.

The forest itself was my imagination.

And perhaps the stories I created were not a way to escape life, but a way to find my way back to it.

My father hadn’t completely left either.

He had simply become part of the stories I carry in my heart.

Some stories are read.
Some stories are worn.

Every piece begins with a story.
It becomes complete with yours.
