Restaurant design today is about understanding how people move, behave and connect within a space. At DZ Design, every F&B project begins with the concept. We study cultural context, guest flow, operational needs and market trends to shape environments that support both the dining experience and commercial performance.

For Mogao, the design direction drew from the hand‑carved Mogao Caves of Gansu Province. The spatial plan across 350 sqm, with 150 indoor and 100 outdoor covers, was developed to create a clear and intuitive guest journey supported by zoning, materiality and lighting.

Recognised as Restaurant Design of the Year at the Design Middle East Awards 2023, Mogao shows how concept integrity, operational clarity and research‑led thinking define successful F&B spaces today.
