This is a very nice example of Parthabgar work which was a popular craft in India during British times. Partapgarh, also spelled Partabgarh or Pratapgarh is a town from the Rajasthan state, northwestern India. The town was founded in 1689 and was the capital of the former princely state of Partabgarh (founded in the 15th century), which became part of the state of Rajasthan in 1948.
