One thing I love about designing in Morocco?

Almost anything feels possible.

A sofa can be made for your room.
You can choose the fabric.
Work with craftsmanship.
Mix colour, pattern, wood, stone and pieces that carry culture.

But more possibilities don’t automatically make the decisions easier.

Because eventually you have to ask:

Which of all these beautiful possibilities actually belong to ME?

That’s the part of interior design I’m obsessed with.

Not giving every client my style.

Understanding her life, family and personality deeply enough to create hers.

If you’re creating a home in Morocco, tell me: what’s the hardest decision you’re facing right now?

You might look at this moodboard and say:

“I just like neutral interiors.”

I see much more.

You chose warm oak instead of dark wood.
That tells me you’re drawn to lightness and natural warmth.

You chose textured fabric instead of something smooth and polished.
You probably need softness and tactility, not a home that feels like a showroom.

You chose warm stone and imperfect natural surfaces.
That points me toward organic materials rather than cold, glossy finishes.

You chose muted earthy tones instead of strong colour.
Your home may need low visual stimulation but still personality.

And those small brass details?
They tell me you might still want refinement and contrast inside all that softness.

So no, I wouldn’t simply call this:

“warm minimalism.”

I’d want to know why you chose each part.

Then I combine those answers with your personality, your routines, how you live and how you want to feel when you come home.

Because your interior style isn’t one label.

It’s a pattern.

And my job is to find yours.

Many Designers have a signature style that you can recognise in every home even when the colour theme or textures change, you can still see similarities.

My approach though is different, I see every human as a special unique piece of art and I want to showcase this art in your own private home.

Together we identify your own Interior style. This happenes through getting to know you and your family.

I get to know your routines throughout your day, how you spends your weekends, holidays and time alone at home.

We talk about your dreams and wishes and how you want to feel everyday in your home.

The secret behind feeling at home lies not in creating a home based on colour and shapes.
Instead the secret is understanding the purpose of space and combinging it with style, materials and furnitures, that you can recognise yourself, not me.

Its about your today, tomorrow and rest of your life.

You know what you like when you see it.

But when it comes to your own home, suddenly you’re not so sure.

You save one beautiful interior. Then another completely different one.

You buy a piece you love, bring it home and somehow it doesn’t work with everything else.

More Pinterest. More inspiration. More furniture.

But still no clear picture of what your home should actually look like.

The problem isn’t that you don’t have style.

You just haven’t translated who you are into your home yet.

I look beyond the furniture you like.

I look at your personality, your lifestyle, your routines, the places that inspire you, what makes you feel calm and how your family actually lives.

Your sofa isn’t your interior style.

Neither is your Pinterest board.
Your style starts much earlier.

In the places you never want to leave.

The colours you keep wearing.

The hotel you still think about years later.

The way nature makes you feel.

Whether your perfect Sunday means a full table surrounded by family or three quiet hours with coffee and a book.

Those little things tell me more about the home you need than choosing between “modern” and “minimal” ever could.

I take those pieces of you and translate them into a home.

That’s where character comes from.

Not copying a look.

Creating one that could only belong to you.

If we were having coffee and you told me,
“Mel, I just feel different when I’m near water.”

I wouldn’t tell you to paint your walls blue. 😄

I’d want to know why.

Is it the sound?
The movement?
The light reflecting on the surface?
The feeling of space?
Or simply that your mind finally becomes quiet?

Because that is where your interior starts.

If water makes you feel calm, we can translate that feeling through flowing fabrics, softer colours, reflective materials, natural light and a space that doesn’t visually overwhelm you.

You don’t need an ocean-themed home to feel connected to the ocean.

And this applies to everything you love.
Maybe it’s travelling. Nature. Fashion. A certain city. A hotel you never forgot. Your grandmother’s kitchen. Sunday mornings with your family.

Don’t ask yourself only:
“What do I like?”

“How does it make me feel?”
