Most people think Burano is beautiful because of the color.
As a designer, I think it’s beautiful because of the composition.
The houses share similar proportions, repeating rhythms, and a consistent scale. That underlying structure allows every bold color to stand on its own without competing with the next.
It’s a great reminder that successful design isn’t about using less color. It’s about giving color the right framework.
