this time last year we were getting set up and ready to go at the June long weekend craft market 🎪

and honestly? look at this lazy susan 😍

puff vinyl as far as the eye can see — that was one of my favourite displays we ever did and I am a little bit proud of it 😂

this year we won't be at the market as a stallholder…

but for the first time in a few years I actually get to walk around and SHOP it like a normal person, visit our favourite stalls, and just enjoy the whole vibe without being run off my feet all day 🙌

very excited about that tbh 😄

can we talk about stencil vinyl for a second? 🙌

because I feel like it doesn't get nearly enough credit.

this stuff is an absolute GAME CHANGER if you want to:

🪵 paint beautiful designs onto wood signs
☕ add a personal touch to mugs and tumblers
🎨 create custom artwork on canvas
👕 stencil onto fabric for one-of-a-kind pieces

basically — if you want to paint it, stamp it, or add texture to it, stencil vinyl is your best friend.

here's how it works 👇

cut your design with your Cricut or Silhouette
stick it down, burnish the edges so paint can't sneak under
paint over the top
peel it off slowly…

and what you're left with is a clean, crisp, professional finish that looks like it took way more skill than it did 😏✨

perfect for beginners who want impressive results, and small biz owners who want to add painted products to their range without losing their mind.

sometimes it's better to just pay the professionals 😭

let me tell you about my Mother's Day craft fail.

I thought — how hard can it be? I'll grab a clear balloon, stick some of mum's favourite vinyl on it, lovely little centrepiece, everyone's impressed.

I am the vinyl lady. I've got this.

I did not have this.

turns out balloons come with instructions. specific air. specific stretching technique, specific tying. specific things I absolutely did not do.

by the time I was done…

the balloon was barely the size of my hand 😭

the vinyl though?

PERFECT. absolutely flawless. 😂

until the balloon deflated

some lessons you only learn once.

balloon centrepieces — leaving that one to the professionals from now on 👋😂

ok but can we talk about how this little pot has LIVED

I made it 2 years ago with our mirror chrome vinyl.

Since then it has been:
🎃 a Halloween treat holder
🛍️ a market display example
🔑 a key holder by the front door
✨ and NOW it holds all our vinyl accessories

this pot has been through it.

and the chrome?

still perfect. not a scratch. not a peel. nothing.

that's 2 years of being picked up, moved around, handled constantly — and it still looks brand new.

Have you ever cut your vinyl and peeled it back to find the whole thing ruined?

Yeah. We have too. More times than we'd like to admit. 😬

The culprit? Forgetting to remove the protective plastic sheet before cutting.

It's such a simple thing. But when you're in the zone, you forget. And then — there goes a perfectly good piece of vinyl.

That's exactly why we put stickers on our 001 and bubble free range.

It's just a little reminder to pull that plastic off before you cut. Nothing fancy. Just us trying to save you from the same headache we've had.

Less wasted vinyl. Less frustration. More making the thing you actually sat down to make.
