Bhawna (Bhawna | Food Content Creator in Delhi ) couldn't cook much beyond two-minute noodles. She loved food, spent years hopping between Delhi's cafes trying new cuisines, but recreating any of it at home felt out of reach.

Then lockdown shut the cafes, and with her cravings still going strong, she figured the worst that could happen was a dish that didn't taste right. So she started cooking.

She began with the Indian food she grew up on, then taught herself Italian and Mexican, and slowly worked out that restaurant food isn't nearly as complicated as it looks.

Now she shares layered, restaurant-style plates and party snacks for anyone who's ever wanted to make that kind of food but didn't know where to begin.

pov: you trusted ChatGPT to write you a recipe 🔥😅

okay maybe your kitchen won't actually catch fire, but AI recipes fail in their own special way. the measurements are off, the steps don't make sense, and half the time an ingredient is just missing, because the thing writing it has never actually cooked. or tasted food. or been in a kitchen.

so maybe don't let a robot that's never been hungry decide your dinner 😅

tag the person who'd 100% cook from a ChatGPT recipe, and save this as your reminder to never be that person 🔥

Maria Silva (Maria Silva ) walked into MasterChef not sure if she belonged. She walked out as the national runner-up, entirely self-taught.

But the real story starts before that. Maria fell in love with cooking at seven, helping her mum in the kitchen. Then life took over; marriage, raising two kids on her own, and her own dreams quietly moved to the back.

MasterChef was the first big thing she did just for herself. And she showed up, doubt and all, and made it to the very end! 🥹

Now she's building something of her own, a table that's finally hers, and recipes she's ready to share with the world ❤️

Here are 7 ways to save a dinner that's gone wrong. Honestly, most of it is way more fixable than you think.

1️⃣ Too salty is the classic one, and don't add more salt trying to balance it. Drop in a couple of chunks of raw potato and let it simmer, it pulls some of the salt out. Or just bulk it up with more liquid and veg.

2️⃣ Too spicy and you'll want fat to calm it down. Stir in some cream, yoghurt, coconut milk or a k**b of butter and it's manageable again. A bit of sweetness helps too, and rice on the side carries the heat.

3️⃣ Tastes flat and boring, and you keep adding salt but it's not helping? It's almost always acid it needs, not salt. A squeeze of lemon or a splash of vinegar and the whole thing just wakes right up.

4️⃣ Burnt the bottom, so stop stirring the second you smell it, because that's what drags the burnt taste through everything. Gently lift the good bit off the top into a clean pan and leave the burnt layer behind.

5️⃣ Dry, overcooked meat is basically always saveable. you just slice it thin and drown it in something. A sauce, a gravy, a dressing, whatever. Dry chicken becomes a curry or a sandwich filling and nobody's any the wiser.

6️⃣ Sauce too watery, so just let it simmer uncovered for a bit and it'll thicken as it reduces. If you're in a rush, stir in a teaspoon of cornflour mixed with a little cold water and that sorts it fast.

7️⃣ Genuinely beyond saving, so stop trying to rescue it and turn it into something else. Wrap it in a tortilla, pile it over rice, add an egg, cover it in cheese and bake it. Some of the best meals start as mistakes.

That's the thing with cooking though, it goes sideways for everyone, even people who really know what they're doing. Save this for the next time it all goes wrong. 🤍

The part that stayed with me wasn't the question. It was how normal he thought it was to ask it.

Nobody asks my husband who'll run things when we have kids. They ask me. Like ambition comes with an asterisk if you're a woman, like somewhere down the line I'll be the one who has to choose and he won't.

And most women don't have someone stepping in at that exact moment. Usually there's no one to say it for you. You just sit there holding an assumption you never agreed to.
In our house, running a company and raising a family were never a his-job and a her-job. They're just ours.

I didn't have the words in that room. So I'm saying it now: if you've been asked some version of this, you were never the one who needed to explain. They were.

Meet Adora, the world's first AI cooking assistant that refuses to write you a recipe 🤯

Sounds backwards, we know. But that's the whole point.

Every other AI just makes a recipe up on the spot, no person behind it, never actually tested, no story to it. Adora does the opposite.

She finds you real recipes made by real people, and helps you actually cook them.
Tell her what's in your fridge and she'll find something you can make right now. Tell her you want something quick, or spicy, or comforting, and she'll match it. Stuck halfway through cooking? She's right there.

She'll do pretty much anything in the kitchen. She just won't fake a recipe, because the good ones already exist, made by people who spent years getting them right.

That's Adora.

Claudia (Claudia 🍄🌸 ) never trained as a chef. She spent years in London fashion, working as a personal shopper, until it stopped feeling like enough, and cooking, something she'd loved since she was a kid, kept pulling at her.

So she taught herself. She asked her family how the dishes were made, watched videos, and cooked every day until it stuck 🥹

Now she shares the Hong Kong food she grew up on, quick recipes made for people with busy lives and not much time for dinner. For Hong Kongers far from home, her cooking tastes like the place they came from, and that's the whole point.

Garlic cooks really fast, and once it goes past golden it starts to taste bitter. That bitter taste can throw off the whole dish, even if everything else is perfect 😵

Here's where most people go wrong. They add the garlic at the same time as the onions, right at the start. But onions take a good few minutes to soften, and in that time the garlic just sits there burning. By the time the onions are ready, the garlic's already gone bitter.

The fix is simple. Cook your onions on their own first. Once they've softened up, then add your garlic, and only let it cook for about a minute. You'll know it's ready the moment you can smell it. That smell is the sign, not the colour.

One more thing. If your pan's really hot, lift it off the heat for a few seconds when the garlic goes in, so it doesn't catch and burn.

Do this and you get all that lovely garlic flavour, none of the bitterness😋
