Wow 17 years of self employment. That makes me my second longest employer. This has been my most successful career move. Now it's time for my next career move. RETIREMENT. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the clients that have put their trust in my skills and integrity to provide the services that they needed. I have REALLY enjoyed this part of my working career, although my past occupations have provided many of the skills to migrate to this business. I'm still winding down. I have closed advanced banking systems. So for locals (Campbelltown Council area) some jobs will still be possible with cash payments and detailed messages will be essential as I will spend a lot more time riding my bike. Once again, many thanks for 17 years of enjoyment.

5th February 2025 channel Seven converted all of their stations to high definition. Whilst this looks great, it's a bit rough on people without the spare cash to buy a new TV. 3 options: Stop watching Ch7; buy a set top box(yuk) or buy a new TV. It's not a problem with your antenna.

I did a strange thing today, or so it seemed. I wall mounted a TV in MY lounge. A nice upgrade. Unfortunately I had to move the existing mount to accommodate the bigger screen. I was pleased to find that many yeas ago I had used heavy duty 100mm long bolts. No corners cut when I last did this job for myself! Whew, that would have been embarrassing!! NEVER CUT CORNERS.

I decided to upgrade my computer speakers to Earthquake RBS-52s. The only problem was the new speakers could reproduce the annoying hum from the cheapy amplifier that was inaudible with the old speakers. A good excuse to buy a new amplifier.

Finally did it!! Installed some new speakers for myself in our lounge. The infamous Earthquake RBS-52s finally arrived. These are studio quality, book shelf bass reflex speakers. Fabulous sound. Subwoofer NOT required. Thats truly amazing from a 5.25" speaker system. Interestingly, only 20 pair made it to Aus, I've got 2 pair, so only 18 left if you fancy an upgrade. These are NOT available in stores. Specialist suppliers only. Message me to order.

The Earthquake speakers are now installed along with a Yamaha home theatre amplifier. I decided to do this client a big favour. Being one of our Returned Servicemen, I decided not to pass on the special air freight bill. You should have seen the reaction when I powered up the system and put it through a full demonstration. The performance is nothing short of superlative. It doesn't matter how hard you push the amplifier or the speakers, you never hear any distortion. Now my client has asked me for outdoor wireless connected speakers using music cast technology. This will probably be a Yamaha solution.

Just landed Earthquake reference speakers, these were specially flown in from USA for a home theatre installation. No stock in Australia :(
I decided to do some in home testing. Wow these speakers are truly amazing. I will be sad to see them leave for their new home. Even come with cat approval! My client will be blown away. New stock for Australia by end April, shipping, weather and wharfies permitting. Definitely worth the air freight bill !

The usual complaint: I'm not getting all the channels, whats wrong? I visited a home yesterday with a better than average DIY install. However, after DIY we add the top grade components, professional tools, correct assembly faults and finally fine tune with laboratory grade instruments. Yesterday's client had old low standard cable, Replaced, splitters out in the weather, now under tiles, amplifier not working,Replaced, this one was hard to verify without instruments as it still passed some signal. Finally repaired interconnect cable on antenna itself. My clients new concern was the painting wouldn't get done as the Adelaide 500 was starting!
