Hello my name is Katie Keast and Keast Design is home to all the weird and wonderful creative pursuits I undertake. An avid fan of 'resource rescue', the projects I work on have an underlying ethos of sustainability and slow design - a reverence for hand-crafted over mass-produced. I am a melting pot of creative skills which makes for an interesting multi-disciplined approach to projects. Residing

I'm very pleased to share the news that my latest sculpture, 'Ne(m)o Reliquarium', has been selected as a finalist in the 2026 Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize.

This new work has removable jewellery pieces incorporated into the sculpture, an idea I've had for a little while that I'm now exploring further. It feels like I've finally found an approach that consolidates a few disciplines of my art practice, and I'm here for it! I'm looking forward to seeing how this concept develops.

The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize exhibition runs from the 10th April - 19th July at the South Australian Museum
