🌟 Bittersweet Moments 🌟

I’m so proud to share that I’ve successfully grown boysenberries AND loganberries—a fitting finale to an incredible journey that began 33 years ago in what was a little asbestos shack. 🍇🌱

As you may know, the house has sold, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another exciting adventure. Creating this peaceful space out the back from scratch just two years ago has been an absolute joy, and I truly hope the new owner experiences the same pleasure I’ve had, literally reaping the fruits of my labour. Imagine walking in and picking your dinner on your very first evening—what a delight! ✨

This also means that my time at Habitat Blackwood is coming to an end. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful community that has supported the shop over the years. Your kindness and loyalty have made this journey truly special. 💖

I will close the door on Habitat Blackwood bricks and mortar this Friday, December 13th (not superstitious!) at 3pm. The business will still exist online with any remaining stock, including a lot of new carved soapstone from Kenya and, of course, the hearts. Let me know if there are things you will miss being able to purchase, as I may be able to stock them.
