Im not sure people actually realise what goes into making these beauties as well as my other ceramic pieces....
Well here is a look into some of the stages "not" including the actual sculpting of these girlies in clay but just the finishing "glazing & assembly!"
Yep its slow and its art and it is worth it!

SHARK RIDER 🦈

Shark Rider is complete.

This video starts with the finished sculpture, then takes you quickly behind the scenes and through a little of my process — from clay to the final piece.

I finish many of my sculptures with encaustic wax. I love the soft satin texture and subtle sheen it gives the surface. It catches the light beautifully and seems to lift the sculpture into another dimension.

Now, I’m not exactly a huge fan of sharks… but I absolutely respect them, and I find them fascinating. I’m also a big fan of a good shark net! Getting up close and personal with one like Shark Rider does definitely not feature on my bucket list. 😂

But she wanted her shark with her.

So, meet Hercules — her great white companion.

A little wild. A little mysterious. And definitely One of a Kind. 🤍
